Powys pays homage to a broad group of historic castles and famous gardens. Powys Castle & Gardens (35 minutes) is a 13th-century historic castle that is overhung with clipped yews and tender plants. Built under the influence of Italian and French styles, it retains its original lead statues and an orangery on the terraces. Moreover, the Dolforwyn & Montgomery Castle (20 minutes) are two nearby ruins that provide an excellent illustration of Anglo-Welsh history.

Food & Drink

Our local area is a great place to experience the finest Welsh produce, from fresh herbs picked that morning to succulent lamb & mutton.
